Elisabetta Nevola’s contemporary jewel is a journey that explores the expressive possibilities of matter.
In her creating process, the artist prefers to use naked porcelain, since in its look it maintains the contrast between its two natures: the softness of the raw material and the hardness that characterizes it after being fired at a high temperature.
This journey also defines Elisabetta’s choice to combine porcelain with other materials, from cotton textiles to metals like gold and silver, which confer to the jewels a precious, almost poetic elegance.
Elisabetta translates her inner world and transcribes it into jewellery that bears its traces.
Like little haikus, her creations tell of the everyday experiences and sensations that inspired them: images of the natural world, the essentiality of minimalism, the beauty intrinsic in every imperfect form.
The artist’s everyday life is thus transformed into objects that excite, because they contain unique and secret stories, which mix the feelings of those who created them with those who wear them.
Limited edition ornaments to enhance their character, free from conventions and fashions.
An emotional experience that becomes an opportunity to reveal oneself.
Biography
Elisabetta Nevola lives and works in Padua.
After her studies in tourism, she feels the desire to express the creative energy which has always characterized her.
In 2012, driven by a long-time passion for the art of clay, she attends a ceramic workshop as a self-learner
and falls in love with the magical nature of this material.
Through several more professional courses taught by renowned ceramic artists and Italian masters, she improves her skills and learns the secrets of the ceramic art.
As an artist, Elisabetta finds in porcelain – mostly nude – and goldsmith a way to express her vision of beauty, creating wearable and unconventional jewels.
Since 2018, she has been attending the studio of artist and master Lucia Davanzo, of the Paduan goldsmith school.
